Of Characters and flowers
«Swiss born street artist Tika offers the world a slew of characters. They are the beautiful offspring of Frida Kalho and permanent marker. Witness them waltz across Zurich onto the roofs of Berlin and Madrid. They hop the Atlantic and cling to sign posts in Lower Manhattan turn south, and head to Brasil. Characters with hair wild like cursive trace a body, flying kites, drinking a coffee. Remarkable broad noses with deep philosophical eyes lurk amongst tree branches. Pale female characters with decorative headdresses gaze and entertain like a Japanese geisha. Male figures sport baseball caps, unibrows, and Latin moustaches. Skeletal figures embroidered with flowers are reminiscent of a Mexican funeral. And yet, Tika's characters are alive, content, and glowing.» ?Dasco, ourartsite.com, 06/11/07.
